A wonderful sojourn outside of San Miguel de Allende. Rosanna is a lovely guide and has a deep knowledge of her field. I will be thinking about some of the things she shared for a long time.

We enjoyed every minute of our day. From our pick up in front of our door with excellent conversation the whole time we spent together. It was an amazing experience and we learned so much from Rossana about this amazing site. She has firsthand knowledge of this site as an archeologist who spent much time here. The wealth of knowledge that she has of the sacred site and of the peoples that used La Canada led to an incredible view into both her experience as an archeologist on site for 30 years and the revelations in her own life having spent years discovering and understanding the meanings of the temple and the historical evidence found there. I feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to tour this ancient monument with her and to have had glimpses into an ancient culture that Mexico has not yet truly unearthed, literally and figuratively. You will love this tour and Dr Rossana will customize the tour when she understand what information and stories you seek

Where to start! All of the other reviews are correct- this experience is not to be missed. There is no one who is more of an expert than Rossana. She paints a vivid picture of the people who lived here and shares her personal stories from the excavation. She succeeds in bringing to life a time gone by. Rossana is friendly, knowledgeable, and generous with her time. The site itself is a fascinating pilgrimage destination with purposeful alignment directed by astronomical bodies and the surrounding landscape. Visiting this site heightens your awareness of just how separated we have become from the landscapes that we live in. This was the highlight of our time in San Miguel, and I recommend it to anyone who loves archaeology, history, and pre-Hispanic Mexican culture.

I don’t know where to begin - Rossana was incredible beyond words. When you’re traveling and able to connect on a deep level with someone it is life changing. And this experience for me was that, she was able to teach us about her experiences on an archeological level while also connecting with us spiritually and emotionally.

After leaving today I feel renewed and optimistic and grateful to have made a new friend.

Rossana is a gem of a human and has such a depth of understanding of the historical site that you will learn so much from her. The information she shared has changed the way I think about my relationship with the moon and the sun, and has expanded my appreciation of Mexican heritage and culture. Now, how many experiences can you say have changed your outlook like that?! This was the highlight of our trip to San Miguel and I can’t wait to reconnect with Rossana again the future.
